March 7 (Thurs) 8:40 AM group leaves Boston for Vietnam via NYC and Seoul, Korea.
March 8 (Fri) @ 23:25 group arrives in HCMC. Stay at the Rex Hotel @ www.rexhotelvietnam.com
March 9 (Sat) AM Ho Chi Minh City Fine Arts Museum
PM visits to artists studios including lacquer artist Mr. Dao Minh Tri (lecture on lacquer ptg.) and performance and installation artist Mrs. Hoang Ly. Dinner free.
March 10 (Sun) Trip to Mekong River, Island of the Coconut Monk. Several Vietnamese artists will travel with us. Dinner at Vietnam House Restaurant on Dong Khoi Street.
March 11 (Mon) AM Visit to Ho Chi Minh City Fine Arts Association and . Lunch at country style restaurant.
PM Meeting at Ho Chi Minh City Fine Arts College to meet with Faculty, students and tour facilities. Lunch with Director of HCMC FAU. Late afternoon (5:00) visit to Mr. Hanh Minh's studio and dinner at famous restaurant on the lake in Chinatown.
March 12 (Tues) AM Visit to War Museum and visit to Mr. Dong's studio.
PM Free for students to meet with Vietnamese artists, galleries, markets, etc.. Dinner free.
March 13 (Wed) AM Fly to Hue (approx. one hour) . Stay at the Huong Giang Hotel @

PM Visit to Fine Arts University to meet students, faculty and tour Facility. Visit to Citadel (19/20th Century Imperial City). We will be taken by local installation artist Mr. Le Thua Tien.
March 14
(Thurs) Visit to Citadel and Royal Tombs.
March 15 (Fri) All day trip to minority village near Laos.
March 16 (Sat) AM Perfume River trip to Tien Mu Pagoda and Back to the Source Cultural Village. We will be joined on this trip by the WBUR group and Charlie Miller.
PM Visits to woodcarving and bronze casting workshops, Fine Arts Association and Artist's Coffee Shop visit.
March 17 (Sun) AM Flight to Hanoi (approx. one hour) Stay at the DeSyloia Hotel @ www.desyloia.com.
PM Walking tour of Hanoi. Dinner with artist Tran Luong.
March 18 (Mon) AM Meeting with faculty, students and tour of facility at Fine Arts College of Hanoi. Lunch with Director.
PM Suzanne Lecht's house and Mai Gallery.
March 19 (Tues) All day trip to Perfume Pagoda. Water Puppets in the evening.
Lois Tarolw and Gretchen Ewert arrive at 22:20.
March 20 (Wed) AM Visit to Fine Arts Museum of Vietnam and Temple of Literature.
PM Visit to 36 streets (old quarter) and several galleries in this area (Salon Natasha, Apricot Gallery) Shopping, Evening reception for our delegation and twenty artist friends at Ambassador Raymond Burkhardt and his wife Susan’s home in Hanoi.
March 21 (Thurs) All Day Visit to papermaking village, But Tap Pagoda and famous ceramics village Bat trang. At the But Tap Pagoda we will meet artists Phan Can Thuong and Le Quoc Viet who both live there. Lunch with monks at But Tap.
March 22 (Fri) Am Visit to Ethnographic Museum.
PM Free to put thoughts together and any final visits to studios, galleries,
colleges, etc. Dinner at Emperor Restaurant with Suzanne Lecht, Mai and Duong Tuong, Lois and Gretchen.
March 23 (Sat) Morning wrap-up meeting. Day free for last minute shopping, etc. before leaving at 23:40.
March 24
(Sun) MassArt group arrives in Boston at 13:35.
Thomas, tarlow and Ewert stay in Hanoi.
March 24-26 Working in Hanoi.
March 26 (Tues) Fly to Hue (Huong Giang Hotel)
March 27 (Wed) Prepare for printmaking workshop.
March 28 (Thurs) First day of Solar Plate Etching Workshop at the Hue Fine Arts College.
March 29 (Fri) Second day of Solar Plate Etching Workshop at the Hue Fine Arts College.
March 30 (Sat) Relax in Hue and visit artists studios.
March 31 (Sun) Fly to Ho Chi Minh City (Rex Hotel)
April 1 (Monday, April Fool's Day) Visit artists studios.
April 2 (Tuesday) Visit artists studios.
April 3 (Wed) Fly to Siem Reip (Ankor Wat)
