Walk down Dong Khoi, get acclimated to city

January 3 (Tuesday)
Breakfast at the hotel
9 AM Depart for HCMC fine Art Museum and Blue Space Gallery
Lunch Free
Afternoon Market and Ho Chi Minh fine Arts Univeristy
Dinner with Le Cong Hau and wife Hue with Mr. Dong and other invited guests (bring gifts)

January 4 (Wednesday)
Breakfast at the hotel
9 AM All day trip to Cao Dai and Cu Chi Tunnels/ Temples
Dinner free
See if Rich can arrange late night Xoam ride through the city

January 5 (Thursday)
Breakfast at the hotel
9 AM Depart for visits to artist studios and galleries, schedule and details will be arranged by Rich Streitmatter-Tran
Late afternoon arrive at Mai⤙s Gallery for lecture on Contemporary Vietnamese art
Dinner with Mai and Ho Chi Minh city artists

January 6 (Friday)
AM Fly to Da Nang City (one hour)
Visit Cham Museum in DaNang
Drive to Hoi An (45 minutes) Stay at Peace Hotel (Hoa Binh Hotel)
Late afternoon walk or bicycles to tour Hoi An City
(Great place to have clothes made)

January 7 (Saturday)
Send the day visiting temples and ancient houses in Hoi An area

January 8 (Sunday)
Breakfast and Check out
9 AM drive to the ancient site of My Son
Lunch on the road
Drive to Hue City (three hours)
Stay at ???

January 9 (Monday)
Morning visit to Hue artist Le Thua Tien and Nguyen Bang studios
Bus leaves for afternoon walking visit to the Citadel, Janet and David will talk about the historic significance of the area
Dinner at a great Italian restaurant in Hue City

January 10 (Tuesday)
Breakfast
Bronze casting village
Afternoon free to explore city, galleries, shops, market
Dinner open

January 11 (Wednesday)
Breakfast
Check-out early for flight to Hanoi, De Syloia Hotel
Arrive mid-morning. Walking tour of Historic Hanoi with David andJanet. Visit lake and 36th Street District
Lunch at KoTo Restaurant with Director of the National Fine Arts Museum, Dr. Binh
Afternoon visit to Temple of Literature and Museum of Fine Arts
Water Puppet Theatre in the evening
Dinner free (Thyme Restaurant recommended)

January 12, (Thursday)
Breakfast
Depart by bus to But Tap Pagoda and lacquer artist Phan Cam Thuong and Ceramics village
Evening visit with Suzanne Lecht. ask her to show slides on contemporary Vietnamese art
Dinner with Suzanne and possible other Hanoi artists

January 13 (Friday)
All day trip to Ha Long Bay
Dinner at Cay Cau Restaurant at the De Syloia restaurant

January 14 (Saturday)
Breakfast and check out
Depart for visit to artists studio in morning
Lunch at Cha Ca restaurant (traditional stir fried fish and greens
Afternoon free
Final Dinner at Emperor Restaurant

January 15 Sunday
Depart :0020 a.m from Hanoi on Korean Air flight to Boston
arrive in Boston mid afternoon the same day.
